Eric Schmucker is a passionate promoter of mutually transforming community engaged learning and has worked domestically and internationally (Uganda and Indonesia) coordinating community service learning. Previously, Eric worked for three years in a juvenile detention center supporting incarcerated children with multivariate needs. Since 2016, Eric has continued to practice his passion of community engagement as the program director for Claude Moore Precious Time.

Julianne graduated with a BSN from Eastern Mennonite University in 2006 and has been working as an RN in the Harrisonburg/Rockingham community ever since. She has experience in both acute and outpatient healthcare, but the majority of her career has been spent in the community setting. In 2018, she graduated with an MSN from Eastern Mennonite University and began teaching at the JMU School of Nursing. Julianne has a special interest in community engagement and healthcare involving children and adolescent populations and enjoys sharing these passions with her students in the school/community health and Precious Time settings. In her faculty role at JMU, Julianne is the coordinator for the pediatric nursing clinical course and also serves as a first-year advisor.
