Hyuntae graduated with a Bachelor’s in Social Work from California State University Los Angeles and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Washington – Seattle. After receiving his MSW, he taught English as a Second Language in South Korea for nearly 5 years before returning to the U.S. Previous to this position, Hyuntae worked as a social worker for the Department of Health & Human Services and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Julianne graduated with a BSN from Eastern Mennonite University in 2006 and has been working as an RN in the Harrisonburg/Rockingham community ever since. She has experience in both acute and outpatient healthcare, but the majority of her career has been spent in the community setting. In 2018, she graduated with an MSN from Eastern Mennonite University and began teaching at the JMU School of Nursing. Julianne has a special interest in community engagement and healthcare involving children and adolescent populations and enjoys sharing these passions with her students in the school/community health and Precious Time settings. In her faculty role at JMU, Julianne is the coordinator for the pediatric nursing clinical course and also serves as a first-year advisor.

Summer is a senior social work student finishing up her last semester to gain her BSW. She is from Long Island, New York, and plans on working there or New York City after graduation in May. Summer also plans to get her MSW in the near future. She is passionate about her work and is interested in working with children and families. She is excited to be an intern at Claude Moore Precious Times from her last few months at JMU!
